Resort

Is English an official language at the resort?

Yes, and in addition to English, Dutch and German are also spoken at the resort.

Is there a possibility to park my car at the resort?

You can park a car at the chalet. There is more parking space at the larger chalets. You can also park your car in the central car park at the reception.

The main building also has two charging stations for charging electric cars.

Is smoking allowed at the accommodation?

No, smoking in the accommodation is prohibited.

Is the resort accessible to the disabled?

Yes, Dormio Resort Obertraun is very accessible for disabled people. Some larger Chalets of the type Traunsee and Mondsee even have a bedroom on the ground floor.

Where can I dispose my waste?

You can dispose of your waste at the main building.

Is it allowed to make a campfire?

No, this is not allowed.

Is it allowed to barbecue at the resort?

Yes that is allowed. However, we do not have barbecues available ourselves; you can bring your own.

How do I get to the track?

A ski bus stops at the central car park of the Resort. Which brings you to the track.

Is there a possibility for ski lessons at the resort?

At the Resort itself there are no ski lessons, but you can get a recommendation at the reception.

Where can I buy or rent ski equipment?

You can rent skis, ski boots, a ski helmet and snow shoes at ‘’Sportshop Feuerer KG’’. From the resort you can easily reach the shop by foot.

What sports can I practice at the resort?

Our resort has a swimming pool, a gym and of course you can ski. There are also various cycling and hiking routes.

 

Is it allowed to bring my dog(s)?

A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per booked accommodation. The fee for including a dog is € 39.50 per dog per stay. 
Pets are always on request.

Accessibility Dormio resort Obertraun

Train
The Dormio resort Obertraun is very easy to reach by train. Get off at the stop Obertraun-Dachsteinhöhlen. From Vienna, the resort is less than four hours away. From Salzburg it is less than two and a half hours to the resort. In both cases you can change to Attnang-Puchheim. From the train station it is only a five-minute walk to the resort.

Of course, the train is also a perfect means of transport for day trips. Train tickets can easily be bought at the station at the ticket machine. In case you have any questions, there is also staff available. Bad Ischl is 30 minutes by train, Bad Aussee is 15 minutes away and Gmunden is 1 hour by train.

Bus
The bus is a quick and easy option to reach various sights nearby. Both a bus ride to Hallstatt and Dachstein-Krippenstein valley station (Five Fingers-Mammut Cave and Ice Cave) takes less than 10 minutes and costs €2,20 for a single ticket. The bus also drives to more distant places such as Gossau and Bad Goisern. Ask the reception for actual departure times.

Taxi
Taxi Rastl is available day and night and offers a solution for airport transfers, hiking destinations, if you want to take your bike with you, a visit to Hallstatt or the Dachstein-Krippensteinbahn or other destinations on request. The taxi can accommodate up to eight people, which means that you can reach your destination with a larger group.

Taxi boat
Between April and October Hallstatt can also be visited by boat. In a historic boat type called 'a Zille', you will be sailed over the lake. There are also large touring boats that sail for example to Bad Goisern and Obersee. In winter you can also book boat trips by appointment.

Is it allowed to receive guests at the accommodation?

Yes, this is allowed! Report it in advance at the reception.

From what time can I check-in?

You can check-in at 15:00.

At what time do I have to check-out?

You can check-out until 11:00 at the latest.

What are the opening hours of the reception?

The reception opening hours are from 8:00 till 18:00.

I have lost my key, what should I do?

If you have lost your key, you must report this to the resort reception.

Kids

Is the resort child-friendly?

Yes, almost all of our accommodations are child-friendly. They are all equipped with a highchair. If that is not the case, you can always call the reception.

There are no standard facilities for small children in the hotel rooms.

Facilities

Is there free Wi-Fi at the resort?

Yes, there is excellent (free) Wi-Fi coverage throughout the resort.

Is there a swimming pool?

Yes, we have an indoor pool with two heated pools.

Is it possible to rent (a) bicycle(s)?

Yes, you can rent bicycles at Dormio Resort Obertraun. For more information, please contact the reception.

Reservations

Do I have to pay a deposit?

A deposit of € 300,- may be requested.

How does the payment work?

For reservations at the flexible price full payment is due 14 days prior to arrival. For reservations at the standard price (non-cancellable, non-refundable, not modifiable), the total amount of the stay must be paid immediately. During the booking process you will be redirected to our payment provider where you can pay online.

Is it possible to cancel a reservation?

Reservations made at the standard price (non-cancellable, non-refundable, non modifiable) cannot be cancelled free of charge. Reservations made at the flexible price can be cancelled and/or modified up to 14 days prior to arrival. Please contact our reservations department at reservations@dormio.eu or by phone on +31 85 013 40 40. More information can be found in the General Terms and Conditions on our website.

I have lost my invoice, what should I do?

Is it possible to adjust my reservation?

If you have made a reservation at the flexible price, you can change your reservation up to 14 days before arrival. All changes are subject to availability. Please contact our reservations department at reservations@dormio.eu or by phone at +31 85 013 40 40. Reservations made at the standard price (non-cancellable, non-refundable, non modifiable) cannot be changed.

Is it possible to extend my reservation?

If there is availability, you can extend your reservation.

No, it is not allowed to light fireworks at your accommodation.
