Enjoyment in an UNESCO World Heritage area
Dormio Resort Obertraun is located in Austria, south-east of Salzburg. Our four star plus resort consists of 59 luxury chalets for 4 to 10 persons. The mountainous region in which Resort Obertraun is situated, is extremely suitable for both a summer holiday during which you can take a dive in the lake near the park and for a winter sports holiday. This beautiful area of Salzburg has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997, but also the cultural landscape of Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut has gained a spot on this list.

The UNESCO World Heritage treaty has been in place since 1972. This treaty is intended to be able to better preserve cultural and natural heritage, of unique and universal value for mankind, for future generations. Countries that have signed this treaty have agreed to commit to identification, protection, preservation, accessibility and the transfer of cultural heritage within their country borders to generations to come.
