How far away is Dormio Resort Les Portes Du Grand Massif located from the centre of Flaine?

The centre of Flaine is 4 km away, 16 minutes by car.

 

Is English an official language at the resort?

Yes, English and French are spoken at the resort.

Is it allowed to bring my dog(s)?

A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed per booked accommodation. The extra charge is €35,- per dog per stay.

Is there a possibility to park my car at the resort?

When you arrive by car, you can park it in the covered private parking garage. The costs for this are € 49,- per car per week.

How many people can stay at the accommodation?

We have apartments and chalets for 4 to 12 people.

Is smoking allowed at the accommodation?

No, smoking in the accommodation is prohibited.

Is the resort accessible for the disabled?

Yes, our resort is accessible to the disabled.

In our accommodations we have:

  • custom shower
  • adapted toilet
  • wheelchair friendly, no thresholds
  • ground floor (this depends on the accommodation)
Is it allowed to barbecue at the resort?

No, this is not allowed.

Is it allowed to make a campfire?

No, this is not allowed.

Where can I dispose my waste?

You can dispose of your waste at the main building.

Is it possible to check-in earlier than indicated?

The check-in time is from 16:00. If you want to check-in earlier and the accommodation is available this is possible! You can contact the reception on the day of arrival to discuss the possibilities.

At what time do I have to check-out?

You can check-out until 11:00 at the latest.

What are the opening hours of the reception?

The reception is opened every day from 08.00-11.00 am and from 3.30-7.30 pm.

On Saturday the reception is opened from 08.00-12.30 am and from 1.30-7.30 pm.

 

Is it allowed to receive guests at the accommodation?

Yes, this is allowed! Report it in advance at the reception.

I have lost my key, what should I do?

If you have lost your key, you must report this to the resort reception.

Reservations

From what time can I check-in?

You can check-in at 16:00.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

A deposit of €300,- may be requested.

How does the payment work?

Within two working days after your reservation you will receive an invoice/confirmation from us by e-mail. If you choose the 'flexible rate', you pay 50% of the travel amount at the time of reservation and 50% at the latest 30 days before arrival. If you book with the standard rate (non-refundable, non-cancellable) you have to pay the total travel amount directly at reservation. During the booking process you will be redirected to our payment provider where you can pay online.

Is it possible to cancel a reservation?

Reservations made at the standard rate (non-cancellable, non-refundable, non modifiable) cannot be cancelled free of charge. Reservations made at the flexible rate can be cancelled and/or modified up to 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact our reservations department at booking@dormioholidays.com or by phone on +31 (0)26 353 77 25.

Is it possible for me to adjust my reservation?

Yes, based on availability that is possible. However, if necessary, we do charge € 22.50 change costs.

Is it possible to extend my reservation?

If there is availability, you can extend your reservation.

I have lost my invoice, what should I do?

Facilities

Is there a restaurant at the resort?

Yes we have a bistro with panoramic views of the slopes. The opening times of the Bistro are:

Breakfast from: 8:00.
Bar from: 16:00.
Dinner from: 18:30.

Is there free Wi-Fi at the resort?

Yes, there is excellent (free) Wi-Fi coverage throughout the resort.

Is there a swimming pool?

Yes, Dormio Resort Les Portes du Grand Massif has a beautiful wellness centre with a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and a heated indoor pool. These facilities are free of charge for our guests.

Is it possible to rent (a) bicycle(s)?

We unfortunately do not rent bicycles at our resort yet.

Kids

Is the resort child-friendly?

Yes, each accommodation is provided at least with:

  • 1 baby cot(s)
  • 1 high chair(s)
  • 1 baby bath
  • stair gate(s)

General

How do I get to the track?

You can almost always ski to the first ski lift via a ski path in front of the resort. A ski bus stops next to our resort.

How long is the track?

The track is 266 km in total.

Black track: 41 km

Red track: 107 km

Blue track: 117 km

Is there a possibility for ski lessons at the resort?

At the Resort itself we do not give lessons, but the reception staff can recommend a ski school.

 

What sports can I practice at the resort?

The Resort has a swimming pool, a gym and of course you can ski or snowboard.
