Boat trip through the Rur Valley
A boat trip on Lake Rursee is an absolute must during your stay at our hotel! You can board one of the Rursee Schiffahrt boats right in front of the hotel to admire the beautiful surroundings. The boats depart several times a day from April to October. You can choose from three different routes that take you across the Rursee, Urftsee and Obersee. A boat trip through the area is one of the most beautiful ways to take in the impressive nature in peace and quiet.
Rental of boats, canoes, kayaks and pedal boats
If you would like to explore the water on your own, you can visit RurseeZeit directly in front of the hotel from April to October. Here you can rent various boats, from classic rowing boats to luxury electric boats. There are also various (fishing) kayaks, canoes and pedal boats available for hire. If you would like to take to the water with your own stand-up paddle board, this is also permitted. Whether you want to relax on the water or enjoy a sporty day out, anything is possible!

Characteristic Bimmelbahn
Not keen on getting out on the water, but still want to explore the natural beauty of the Eifel? Then we recommend a tour on the typical Bimmelbahn, which departs right next to the hotel. This characteristic little train will take you to the centre of Heimbach. Along the way, you will pass the castle, the reservoir, the Jugendstil power station and, of course, the Eifel National Park. You will also learn more about the sights you pass with interesting facts.
