Experience the Salzkammergut Trophy mountain bike event
For one weekend every summer, Bad Goisern is transformed into the hotspot for mountain bikers. The legendary Salzkammergut Trophy takes place on the Saturday, when around 4,000 mountain bikers compete over seven marathon distances. Then on Sunday, there’s the Bosch (e)MTB scavenger hunt, guaranteeing a fun-filled day of biking and entertainment for the whole family! You have a choice of different routes of 22, 37, 55, 60, 79 and 126 kilometers. Participants are awarded points depending on their chosen route or the number of stamps they collect from the checkpoints. There are skills stations, including mini-crossbow or archery, where you can collect extra points. On completion, you will be awarded either a gold, silver or bronze medal.

Take part in the ice swimming event in the Hallstättersee
Every year in winter, more than 50 participants from different countries compete in an ice swimming competition in the cold waters of the Hallstättersee. The water temperature is below 5 degrees, although the icy wind makes it feel even colder. A 25-metre-long competition pool is created especially for this event, in which participants sometimes swim for more than 20 minutes, racking up distances of up to 1,000 metres. The participants are well looked after, they have a mobile sauna, heated bath, hot drinks and delicious snacks. Anyone aged 16 and over can apply to take part, provided they pass the mandatory medical exam including heart screening test. Due to weather conditions, the date for the event can vary from year to year.

Take part in the exciting swimming marathon in Lake Hallstättersee
Every year, the swimming event of the summer takes place in the beautiful Hallstättersee! Are you up to the challenge? There are various distances for both recreational and long-distance swimmers up to a maximum distance of 10 kilometres. The route starts at the Untersee beach in Bad Goisern and finishes at Obertraun beach. There are also several water challenges which children can take part in.

Come and see the special floral creations at the Daffodil Festival
Every spring, the Daffodil Festival takes place in Ausseerland, Austria's biggest flower festival! Why not visit the multi-day festival, with music, performances, a fashion show, culinary specialities and much more. Marvel at the beautiful flower parade on the water and experience this blooming spectacle!
