Go for a walk through the vibrant center with its charming canals and old buildings that are reminiscent of the Golden Age. You can come across over 1.100 monuments, like the 900-year-old abbey buildings, the 90.5-meter-high Lange Jan tower and the monumental street the Kuiperspoort. You can also soak up the extraordinary history of Zeeland in the Zeeuws Museum where you can admire the clothing of Zeeland and tapestries with naval battles of the 16th Century. Explore the beautiful nature on Walcheren
Discover how dunes arise naturally in De Manteling at a 25-minute drive. Walk over the dunes, dune valleys, sand drifts, grass dune lands with many stenzen plants and marsh cypresses. Here you can come across animals such as roe deer, fallow deer and wild Koninks horses. Due to the many berries, this is a true bird paradise during fall!
There is also beautiful nature to discover immediately surrounding the villa park. In 1961 the Veerse Gat dried out and was forested which makes these former salt marshes perfect for a hike or bike tour. Trees are interspersed with creek remnants and laying meadows and are home to animals like roe deer and hares.

A must during your stay in Zeeland is sailing over the waters of Zeeland. From the villa park you can sail straight on the Veerse Meer that is connected with the untouched waters of Zeeland.

If you love golf, you should not miss out on a visit to the De Goese Golf golf course. This challenging 18-hole Championship Course is located at a 25-minute drive from Dormio Harbour Village and was designed by Donald Steel. From the yellow tees the Championship Course is over 6.1 kilometers long and thereby one of the longest courses in the Netherlands! Enjoy a beautiful park lane where the water of the Oosterschelde flows on more than 10 holes and admire the view over the landscape of Zeeland.
The golf course De Zeeuwsche in Middelburg at a 10-minute drive is also worthwhile. This 9-hole golf course offers various challenges with changing holes and many water features where you can swing from both the water and the grass.
