Special beaches for your faithful four-legged friend
You get an excellent opportunity to enjoy the beautiful coast of the Costa Blanca together on special beaches for pets. There are several beaches near Dormio Resort Costa Blanca where pets are very welcome. Your dog will be able to enjoy the Spanish sea and have fun running around or playing with other dogs.
Playa Punta de Riu in El Campello
You will find the small pebble beach Playa Punta de Rui at a distance of only 11 kilometres from the resort on the mouth of the river Seco, between the Carrerlamar and Muchavista beaches on the Costa del Sol. Dogs can have fun here running around on the beach, swimming in the sea or playing with other dogs. The beach is surrounded by nature and is easily accessible.
Only 500 metres further along you will find Parque Canino, a large park for dogs where your dog can run around freely. Because of the large gate at the entrance and the high fences around the park, you will never lose your dog.
Playa del Barranc in El Campello
Tourism along the Costa Blanca is pet friendly, and it therefore does not come as a surprise that the area is well-known as the perfect destination for visiting with your dog. The natural pebble beach Playa del Barranc is only 4.5 kilometres from the resort and is protected by a small cliff.
Cala del Xarco in Villajoyosa
The small and natural beach of Cala del Xarco consists mainly of pebbles and has a beautiful cliff. This beach is situated south of the city of Villajoyosa and is only 5 kilometres from the resort. The beach has been specifically welcoming dogs since 2015, and you can enjoy this beautiful beach with your four-legged friend. Your dog must be on a lead on this beach.
Playa de Agua Amarga in Alicante
This 250-metre-wide sandy beach is situated between Alicante and Urbanova, only 30 kilometres from the resort. Playa de Agua Amarga is well-known as one of the beaches best equipped for dogs on the Costa Blanca. The beach has parasols adapted for your faithful four-legged friend, special wastebins you can also use as a food or water bowl, and there is also a kiosk where you can not only buy food for your dog, but also order a refreshing drink for yourself. The beach bar is open during the high season from June to September. Your dog may run freely on the whole beach. You must put your dog on a lead when you are at the beach bar.
