This hiking route on the Costa Blanca is ideal for beginner hikers who want to enjoy a short walk with spectacular views. The 16th century Torre de Reixes is situated on the coast between El Campello and Villajoyosa. During this walk through the Mediterranean mountain scenery, you will have wonderful views of the endless blue sea, the inland mountains and the coastline from Benidorm to Santa Pola.

Discover the history of the Albir lighthouse (5 kilometres)

This 2.5 kilometre route takes you to the Albir lighthouse, at the northernmost point of the Sierra Gelada Natural Park. It is excellent for beginner hikers. During the route, which is slightly uphill and has a gradient of 112 metres, you will have panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the bay of Altea with the Serra de Bèrnia in the background. From this particular point wild dolphins are regularly spotted along the steep cliffs of the Sierra Gelada. You will be able to see them better using the telescopes at the viewpoint. In the distance you can see Altea, one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Blanca. There is also a museum at the Albir lighthouse, which you can visit free of charge.

After enjoying this experience, you can walk back the same way. Would you like to see more? Follow the small path to the Ochre Mine: it will lead you to a cave of this colour, where the view is again breathtaking.

This route is asphalted and is suitable for bicycles, pushchairs and wheelchair users.

This mountain route is one of the most special and beautiful hiking routes on the Costa Blanca, and is definitely worth it if you are an experienced hiker. During this challenging hike you will see the different faces of nature: from the shady north side to the bright south side overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. You can also walk through the magical Forat, a natural tunnel that runs through the mountain, and visit the historical ruins of the Bernia Fortress.

The Carrascar de la Font Roja Natural Park, in Alcoi, is one of the Costa Blanca's favourite routes for true hikers. Enjoy the beautiful and protected Mediterranean nature. You can choose from walks suitable for children to routes for advanced hikers.

For example, you can follow a challenging route to the top of the mountain, where you will have a breathtaking view of Alcoi and the countryside. We recommend that you ask at the visitor centre beforehand.

This stunning route will take you to the magical cave 'La Cova Tallada'. It is excellent for the advanced hiker. The impressive cave is located in the north of the province of Alicante, in the Mediterranean Sea, and belongs to the Natural Park of Montgó. The cave has an average width of 75 metres and an average height of 15 metres, with a maximum height of 40 metres. You'll find five large natural openings in the magical cave, which allow light to enter in a special way and offer you spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Alicante's most challenging route is a demanding climb due to the ascents (800 metres difference in height) and zigzagging descents. The Barranc de l'Infern or 'The Cathedral of Hiking' is also called "The route of the 6,000 steps", and is a well-known route through the Girona river ravine. This impressive route owes its name to the more than 6,800 stone steps built by the Arabs more than 500 years ago. At the highest point you will have a spectacular panoramic view of El Barranc de l'Infern. This fantastic route is a good challenge for advanced hikers.
